User Experience Design is at the core of everything I do as a technology professional. In the 15 years of I’ve spent in interactive technology, I have been responsible for all aspects of the user experience life-cycle. From the development of functional requirements to the technical integration of designs into code, I have a comprehensive understanding of what role UX plays at each step.
From a management perspective, I have several years of experience in leading teams of UX designers and developers. I’ve always ensured that projects were delivered on time, on budget and up to the highest possible quality standards. In my and technology resources. In my various management roles, it was my job to coordinate all creative and development resources, I mentor junior professionals, collaborate with cross-functional groups to create efficiencies, and reinforced a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility. I oversaw multiple UX initiatives while addressing team member strengths and weaknesses. This allowed me to develop plans to help my team grow and recognize leadership potential in those whom I groomed for advancement.
While I have firm grasp of the technical and design aspects of my work, I feel that there is something more that differentiates me from my colleagues. User experience is my passion. I’ve built my career on the notion that if you put the customer’s experience first, they will reward you with loyalty. There may be many people who can handle the responsibility of a job. I am one of them, but more importantly, UX is at the heart of everything I do from concept to launch.
